The Lochluichart Community Trust (LCT) was established in 2014 as a not for profit community company to administer the community benefit fund, provided by Eneco, associated with the Lochluichart Wind Farm. It was also registered with OSCR as a charity.  The current annual fund received is £190,846 per year. In September 2017, a further annual fund was received from Green Higland Renewables (Ledgowan) Ltd for the Ledgowan hydro scheme now managed by Albion Capital Group LLP.  The fund from both providers is distributed to projects and initiatives within the Garve and District Community Council area, with particular emphasis on local regeneration and community development. In future, other renewable energy operators may choose to channel available funding through a partnership with the LCT.

The fund opened for applications for the first time in Summer 2014 and a wide variety of projects have been supported, details of which are on the “Previous applications” page. LCT’s Mission and Objectives

The objective of LCT is the charitable objective of the advancement of citizenship or community development within the Garve and District Community Council area.
